Alliance Women Ministries is affiliated with The Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, which has been active in world missions for over a century. Seeking to fulfill the Great Commission, the Alliance sends missionaries and Christian workers throughout the world to share the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ. Alliance Women Ministries supports the ministries of the C&MA through prayer, giving and education about the needs of people groups and cultures where we are called to minister. Official Policies of the National, District, and Local levels of Alliance Women Ministries are available in PDF format.

  • We are organized for prayer - to encourage corporate and individual worship and intercession for local, national, and worldwide ministries.

  • We are organized for missions - to involve women in the worldwide ministries of the C&MA through intercession, short-term missions, the support of overseas workers and their families, and an annual project that services specified needs in various countries.

  • We are organized for outreach - to equip women to share God's love and the message of the Gospel with family, friends and neighbors.

  • We are organized for discipleship - to encourage the study of God's word and to inspire women to follow Christ through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

  • We are organized for fellowship - to encourage a sense of community among women through the building of healthy relationships/friendships by the transforming power of Christ.

Our Southern District of the C&MA is composed of the churches in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, that portion of Florida in the Central Standard Time Zone, and that portion of Louisiana east of the Mississippi River. Southern District Alliance Women Ministries divides the Southern District into three areas: AMT, East Tennessee and Gulf Coast. Read the current Southern District Newsletter online in a web page or PDF version and view past letters archived in PDF.

Spread across several states, we delight in the opportunity to gather once a year for a time of fellowship, prayer, spiritual challenge and missionary reports at a Fall District Retreat Our 2008 Fall Retreat was held October 24-26, 2008 at Springville Camp and Conference Center in Odenville, Alabama.

Each year a National Project is selected for special financial support above regular giving. All the districts in the nation combine to accomplish what would be beyond the means of any single group. Local groups also provide generous support to the special needs of missionaries on the field, their children in several schools, workers home on furlough, and local ministries to women in the church and the community.
