Alliance Women Ministries is affiliated with The Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, which has been active in world missions for over a century. Seeking to fulfill the Great Commission, the Alliance sends workers throughout the world to share the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ. Alliance Women Ministries supports the ministries of the C&MA through prayer, giving and education about the needs of people groups and cultures where we are called to minister. Official Policies of the National, District, and Local levels of Alliance Women Ministries are available in PDF format.
Our Southern District of the C&MA is composed of the churches in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, that portion of Florida in the Central Standard Time Zone, and that portion of Louisiana east of the Mississippi River. Southern District Alliance Women Ministries divides the Southern District into three areas: Central (formerly AMT), East Tennessee and Gulf Coast. Read the current Southern District Newsletter online in a web page or PDF version and view past letters archived in PDF. Spread across several states, we delight in the opportunity to gather once a year for a time of fellowship, prayer, spiritual challenge and reports from overseas workers at a Fall District Retreat. The Fall 2009 Retreat was held October 23-25 at Springville Camp and Conference Center in Odenville, Alabama. SAVE THE DATE FOR THIS YEAR: Fall Retreat is scheduled for October 22-24, 2010 at Springville.
Each year a National Project is selected for special financial support above regular giving. All the districts in the nation combine to accomplish what would be beyond the means of any single group. Local groups also provide generous support to the special needs of overseas workers on the field, their children in several schools, workers home on furlough, and local ministries to women in the church and the community.
